Samantha Eisenstein Watson is already an accomplished mAss Kicker! After kicking some Ewing’s Sarcoma mAss and then kicking some Leukemia mAss, she started the nonprofit The SAMFund to help supplement money for young adult survivors that was lost during treatment. They provide grants and scholarships to help pay for transitional issues such as education, living, job search and lingering medical expenses.  We were very lucky to catch a few minutes with this extremely busy woman!

Adam Garone is the second Featured mAss Kicker from down under.  He is one of the creators of “Movember,” a global campaign designed to bring awareness to men’s health issues and benefit prostate cancer research and the LiveStrong Young Adult Alliance. Movember’s unique blend of fun, irreverence, and innovative use of technology has created a grass roots movement that has experienced exponential growth. In 2007, the campaign went global, with more than 134,000 men from US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Spain, New Zealand and Australia growing Mos. With continued success, Movember 2009 brought together almost 256,000 moustaches procuring over a million donations to raise $40 million.

jbouff250Jack Bouffard is one funny mAss Kicker. He is currently the Vice President of Grassroots Advocacy for the I’m Too Young for This Cancer Foundation. He is a co-host of the “Stupid Cancer show” and travels everywhere to make sure people know about young adult survivor issues. Don’t let his humorous antics fool you. He has a very a serious side when it comes to talking about his passion for the young adult survivor movement. Jack is also a regular on SIRIUS/XM Doctor Radio's Oncology Show and has emerged as a national spokesperson for the young adult cancer movement. He currently lives and practices massage in Danbury, CT and received his certification from the Connecticut Center For Massage Therapy.

mel_publicityMel Majoros is one talented mAss Kicker! She is a 10-year veteran of the television post production industry working on such shows as Walker, Texas Ranger, and Crossing Jordan.  In addition to her duties as host of The Cancer Warrior on Empower radio she is also the producer/co-host of The Vic McCarty Show on 1270am 92-1fm WMKT the talk station in Petoskey/Traverse City Michigan.  She is heavily involved in cancer advocacy including Relay for Life, Bike4Breast Cancer among others.  She is on the board of directors for Cruising for the Cure,a charitable organization benefitting the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit for pancreatic research.  Her blog the cancer warrior was named one of the top ten breast cancer blogs.

Courtney_Clark250Courtney Clark is one active mAss Kicker! She is a great example of how an intimidating cancer diagnosis can’t prevent you from doing what you feel is right.  She has been involved with many organizations such as Planet Cancer, the LiveSTRONG Young Adult Alliance, and the Houston Humane Society.  She is even starting her own nonprofit organization called Austin Involved.  We were very lucky to find time to ask her a few questions.
