CERVICAL CANCER RESOURCES
National Cervical Cancer Coalition - The coalition is developing a national grass roots effort in all 50 states. Through the efforts of our coalition members, we are explaining the issues facing women and cervical cancer/HPV prevention with vaccination, regular Pap testing and HPV Testing when recommended.
Again, we work at reducing the stigma that maybe associated with HPV infection and cervical cancer.
At the grass roots level, the NCCC membership desires to see as many young girls and women vaccinated as possible to prevent cancer. In order for this to occur there must be insurance coverage for the vaccines including coverage for poor and/or underserved working women. Ongoing cervical cancer prevention programs through the regular Pap test and HPV testing when recommended must continue and be enhanced to further help in cancer prevention and detection.

Tamika and Friends - is a national non profit organization designed to raise awareness about cervical cancer and its link to the human papillomavirus through a network of survivors and their friends.

HysterSisters - Hystersisters.com is a woman to woman support website for GYN medical and emotional issues surrounding the hysterectomy experience. It is not intended to take the place of a personal physician. The Hyster Sisters site is neither anti hysterectomy nor pro hysterectomy, rather, it is an online community of women who give and receive support for hysterectomy decisions, recovery and treatments. Hystersisters.com offers resources and kindness so that our visitors can discover options and make decisions for themselves.

Say Something - Tamika Felder and Christine Baze are both cervical cancer survivors. Their lives changed course - drastically - at the young ages of 25 and 31. Both women were diagnosed with advanced cervical cancer, and both immediately underwent a radical hysterectomy followed by radiation and chemotherapy.
After living through the toughest experience of their lives, both Tamika and Christine did something amazing - they drew on the strength it took to beat cancer to start Tamika and Friends, Inc. and The Yellow Umbrella, two unique non-profits that help educate women about HPV and the prevention of cervical cancer.
Now these women have combined the powerful forces of their organizations to build Say Something, a program with the goal of reaching even more women - in more places - with the message that HPV causes cervical cancer. And with the right education and proper screening, this cancer will be eliminated.

The Yellow Umbrella – The mission of The Yellow Umbrella.org is to decrease both the personal and systemic burden of cervical cancer around the world by educating and empowering decision-makers, particularly patients, about prevention, advocacy and working together.
