We are planning on taking a few tumor/cancer survivors to different areas of the asia to dispel the myth that “cancer is a death sentence.”  Internationally, cancer survivorship is not as prominent as it is in the United States.  Our plan is to educate the future healthcare professionals and interact with patients.

Young cancer survivors represent a symbol of hope for life after a devastating diagnosis.  We are taking extraordinary tumor/cancer survivors on trips to asia this year.

We are planning on traveling to Honolulu, Hawaii on March 16-21 and speaking about life after a devastating cancer diagnosis at The University of Hawaii – Manoa, Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work.  From July 15-27 we are planning another trip to Asia and speaking tentatively at Ateneo de Manila Medical School and The University of the Philippines -Manila, College of Medicine.  We are also planning on visiting Tokyo, Japan and speaking to a group of cancer survivors through Japan for LIVESTRONGabout life after a cancer diagnosis.

We firmly believe that the global stigma of a tumor/cancer diagnosis as a death sentence needs to be addressed and that tumor/cancer thrivers can be both a symbol and voice of hope in dispelling the myth that cancer is a death sentence.  Please consider a tax deductible donation to support our efforts to assist us in this mission.  If things go well in Asia,  mAss Kickers Foundation will plan similar trips around the world!
