2016 mAss Kickers Foundation Charity Kickball Tournament

Every year more people are being diagnosed with a tumor mass or some form of cancer. We know that people need assistance navigating this very intimidating situation.  mAss Kickers Foundation (MKF) wants to provide resources for newly diagnosed tumor/cancer patients AND their loved ones.  A tumor/cancer diagnosis is NOT something to be embarrassed/ashamed about!  We want to educate people about a proactive life after an intimidating tumor/cancer diagnosis!  

With the assistance of San Diego-based organizations, we created a unique and fun way to support this endeavor, a Charity Kickball Tournament! The event takes place on June 11 at Helix High school in La Mesa, CA from 8:15AM to 2PM

The WINNER of the TOURNAMENT takes home the 2016 Kickball Championship P.I.M.P. (Pugilistic Individual Mass-Kickn’ with Pride) Chalices!  They go to the team with the most points earned from 1) Raising funds and 2) Winning the tournament!  THIS YEAR A MALE AND FEMALE MVP WITH BE “CROWNED” AND MUST WEAR THEIR “TROPHY” FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TOURNAMENT!

Team Competition has two parts:  Fundraising and game play

TEAM SCORING:   

2 POINTS – WIN

1 POINT – TIE

  • FUNDRAISING:  4 POINTS – TOP FUNDRAISING, 3 POINTS – 2ND FUNDRAISING, 2 POINTS – 3RD FUNDRAISING, 1 POINT – 4TH FUNDRAISING

The top fundraising teams will receive additional team points prior to the morning round robin play. Teams will receive points for wins and ties in morning round-robin play.

At the end of the morning round robin play at 130PM, the tournament champions will anointed at the closing ceremony.
